Copyright / Trademark Notice

We own the rights to http://www.techpayout.com and all its services and reserve the right to change the policies and pricing without notification. No materials from this site may be copied, reproduced, modified, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any form or by any means without our prior written permission. Any unauthorized use of the materials appearing on this site may violate copyright, trademark and other applicable laws and could result in criminal or civil penalties.

Requirements for Use

You are required to be at least eighteen (18) years of age. If you are younger than eighteen (18) years of age, you will need approval from a parent or guardian.

TechPayout does not provide shipping labels outside of the 50 United States. You must have a valid Unites States physical address in order to ship product(s) to TechPayout, LLC. TechPayout only accepts approved items that are listed on http://www.techpayout.com. In the case of a custom quote, TechPayout reserves the right to approve or reject any item(s) that are quoted or inspected.

Registration

Registration is not required to visit the website; however, you are required to register with us and create an account if you desire to use all of the Website's services and features or to complete a transaction with us. If you register to open an account, you agree to provide accurate, complete registration information. You must be legally capable to enter into contracts. It is your responsibility to make any updates to that information. Each registration is for a single person only, unless specifically designated otherwise on the registration page. We do not permit any other person using the registered sections under your name. You are responsible for preventing such unauthorized use. If you believe there has been unauthorized use, you should notify TechPayout immediately by emailing info@techpayout.com.

Email Privacy Policy

We may ask you to complete surveys, questionnaires or comments on the website from time to time. These will always be voluntary, but we may use the information from them to personalize the website and to target marketing to relevant users.

We will ask you for your email address during the checkout process. You may receive email updates, information, and newsletters. You can delete or change your email address at any time or unsubscribe to particular types of email.We may collect management information on our email campaigns, such as whether you have read an email sent by us, when and how many times. We will use this information to improve content and services and to inform groups of users about relevant products and services.The website gives you the opportunity to change your preferences about receiving conventional postal mailings. To change preferences, login to your account from the top horizontal menu.We will use any or all of the personal information we collect about you to build up a profile of your use of the website.

Legal Ownership

You are the actual legal owner of any and all Items sold or attempted to be sold to TechPayout, LLC or specifically authorized in writing to sell the Items to TechPayout, LLC.

You represent, warrant and agree that you have full, legal title to, and ownership of, every item that is sent or delivered by you to TechPayout, LLC and that you have full authority to solely engage in the transaction with TechPayout, LLC.

You agree to and will indemnify and hold harmless TechPayout, LLC from and against any and all claims, suits, investigations, judgments, liabilities, obligations and damages relating to or arising out of the title to, ownership on any item sold or purported or arranged to be sold by you to TechPayout, LLC.

TechPayout will assist law enforcement in the investigation of stolen property. We record the device's electronic serial number for every item we receive, so we can provide a trail for items under inquiry. All devices go through our data wipe process.

As part of our online trade-in process, every customer is required to contractually confirm the device is in fact theirs to sell and has not been reported as lost or stolen. TechPayout does not purchase phones or other devices that have been reported as lost or stolen at the time of sale.

We always try to identify the owner of any lost or stolen device we find. If your phone has been lost or potentially stolen, make sure you report the incident to your service provider and or local police as they can prohibit the item from being activated by a new user.

By using the TechPayout buyback service, you are contractually agreeing that the devices sold to us are rightfully yours to sell. TechPayout reserves the right to prosecute and take legal action against all parties for reimbursement of any monetary losses found after purchase.

Most phones can be remotely locked and erased to keep your information safe, you may even be able to put a message on the lock screen with a contact number in case your phone is located. With iPhones for example you can use the Find My iPhone feature if it has been enabled. With this tool you can lock the device and provide a phone number on the screen. For Android Devices you can use Google Factory Reset Protection (FRP).

When we receive an item that has been locked and has contact information we use that information to contact the owner and initiate a return. For your protection we will require information to verify that you are in fact the rightful owner of the device. Once that has been confirmed, we will return your lost property free of charge.

Disconnect Service

You agree to disconnect service on all devices before sending them to TechPayout, LLC. TechPayout, LLC is not responsible and will not be liable for any and all airtime charges or any other charges accrued prior to, during, or after processing by TechPayout, LLC. The original user and wireless carrier / service provider are responsible for resolving payment issues regarding any and all carrier-based service charges. TechPayout, LLC is not responsible for any SIM cards or SD cards that may be sent to TechPayout, LLC.

Data Deletion

TechPayout, LLC is not responsible and will not be liable for the use of any personal information stored in memory of any devices after it has been donated or sold. You expressly agree and understand that it is your responsibility to delete all data and other contents from any item sent to TechPayout, LLC. This includes, but is not limited to phonebook information, personal codes, e-mail addresses, personal addresses, IM addresses, photos, and downloaded files.

Payments / Returns

After receipt and appraisal of your Item(s), TechPayout, LLC will issue a check that constitutes TechPayout LLC's payment for the purchase of your Item(s). If customer selects PayPal payment option on the website, a PayPal payment will function as would a check from TechPayout, LLC. Upon TechPayout, LLC's mailing of the check, you will be legally bound by the sale transaction and you will not have the opportunity to receive your original item (s) back from TechPayout, LLC.

Please note that TechPayout is not responsible for fees charged by Paypal. Price quoted is the amount paid before any fees are possibly charged by Paypal. There are zero fees associated with receiving a check as payment, and you will receive the full amount as quoted by TechPayout.

If you would like a device returned, you must email TechPayout at info@techpayout.com to provide notice of your return request to a customer service representative. This request must take place before the check is mailed or the PayPal payment is made. All electronic devices received become the property of TechPayout, LLC and will be recycled or reused at our discretion. Once the item is received into our inventory it is property of TechPayout, LLC.

Revised Quotes

If TechPayout, LLC receives your item and the condition differs from the stated condition you will be offered a revised quote via email. If revised quote is accepted, TechPayout, LLC will issue payment per the preference selected during the original quoting process. If revised quote is rejected, TechPayout, LLC will return your item(s), at no charge, within fourteen (14) business days. If revised quote is not responded to within seven (7) days, TechPayout LLC's revised offer is bound and payment in the amount of the revised offer will be issued.

In the event multiple devices are submitted during a single transaction and TechPayout, LLC offers a revised quote on one or more items, the devices that TechPayout, LLC agrees to accept at 100% of the quoted price will be treated as individual, closed transactions. For acceptance/rejection of a revised quote on a single item within a multiple submission, terms as stated above apply.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TechPayout, LLC, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, vendors and distributors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that such parties may incur as a result of or arising from your (or anyone using your account's) violation or breach of any representation or obligation under these Site Terms. We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you and, in such case, you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claim.
